Residential Service Guidelines
· Payment
o Service will be suspended if payment is not received within 30 days of the Invoice Date.
o Service will be cancelled if payment is not received within 45 days of the Invoice Date. If service is cancelled due to non-payment, customer will be required to pay past due balance and current balance in order to re-establish service.
· Carts
o Cart is property of Dependable Waste Services and will be picked up by DWS after termination of services.
o If cart is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, a $75 cart replacement fee will be assessed.
o If cart is damaged due to normal wear and tear, contact us immediately for a cart repair or replacement.
· Types of Waste Accepted
o Only standard residential house waste is accepted.
o Green waste/yard waste is acceptable.
o Please bag all garbage.
o Do not bag recycle.
o Do not use cart to throw away construction and demolition debris, hazardous materials, commercial/agricultural waste.
o DO NOT THROW AWAY BATTERIES. Under pressure they have the potential to ignite and start fires in our equipment or at the landfill.
· Weekly Service
o Weekly pick up starts at 6 AM and ends at 6 PM; we recommend putting your cart(s) out the night before to prevent missed pickups.
o If your pick up day falls on or after a holiday, service will be delayed by one day.
§ Observed Holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
o The time that your cart(s) are serviced may change from week to week due to changes in our routing. Please keep this in mind before calling to report a missed pick up.
o In the event that your stop is missed, please contact us so that we can schedule a pick up the next day.
o If your cart(s) are not serviced due to your cart(s) not being out on time, an additional fee will be assessed if you would like to schedule an additional pickup.
o Do not overfill cart(s). If you are unable to close the lid, please break down any large or bulky items.
